Information We Collect
When you use CruiseDen, we may collect the following information:
- Email address — provided during registration.
- Phone number (optional) — provided if you opt in to SMS alerts.
- Notification preferences — your choices for email and SMS alert settings.
- Linked cruise line account information — if you connect a Royal Caribbean or other cruise line account for casino offer tracking.
- Browsing activity on our site — pages visited, searches performed, and sailings viewed. This is tied to your account when you are logged in.
- Request metadata — IP address, the route you requested, and (where present) the external referring URL. These are logged for every request, whether or not you are logged in, for traffic analytics, rate limiting, and abuse prevention.
How We Use Your Information
- Account authentication and security (including keeping you signed in across visits if you choose).
- Sending price drop alerts, availability changes, and saved search notifications via email and/or SMS based on your preferences.
- Aggregate, first-party traffic analytics (hit counts by route and by day) to understand how the Service is used.
- Diagnosing errors and improving reliability.
Third-Party Services
We use the following third-party services to operate the Service:
- Twilio — for SMS message delivery and phone number verification.
- Mailtrap — for transactional email delivery.
- Sentry — for application error tracking. When an error occurs, Sentry may receive the URL, a stack trace, and limited request context (which can include your IP address) to help us diagnose the issue.
We do not use third-party advertising networks or third-party analytics products (such as Google Analytics). We do not sell or share your personal data with third parties for marketing purposes.
Data Retention
We retain your personal information for as long as your account is active or as needed to provide the Service. You may request deletion of your account and associated data at any time by contacting us at support@dantonio.info.
Your Rights
- SMS opt-out: Reply STOP to any text message, or disable SMS alerts in your Account Settings.
- Email opt-out: Disable email alerts in your Account Settings.
- Account deletion: Request full account deletion by emailing support@dantonio.info.
Cookies
We use cookies only for authentication. Specifically:
- Session cookie — a standard PHP session cookie that identifies your active login. It expires after 24 hours of inactivity or when you log out.
- “Remember me” cookie (optional) — if you check “Remember me” at login, we set a persistent cookie containing a random token that lets us sign you back in automatically. The token is valid for up to 180 days, is revoked on logout or password change, and is stored only in hashed form on our server.
We do not use tracking cookies, advertising cookies, or third-party analytics cookies.
Children's Privacy
The Service is not intended for use by anyone under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If we become aware that we have collected such information, we will take steps to delete it promptly.
